S2E/ST2 Small PLCs V-Series S2E/S2T Small Powerful Modular Style Programmable Controllers Toshiba's S2E/S2T controllers are small, modular type programmable controllers suitable for simple relay replacement all the way to complex control applications. The S2E/S2T are 3rd generation T2 Series CPUs used with V-Series racks, I/O, and power supplies. The S2E/S2T provides a functional, economical, and compact solution to a wide range of applications in automotive, machine control, and process control systems.

Key Features   T-Series Compatible. Any program written for a T-Series CPU can be downloaded directly into the S2E/S2T without modification.   Comment Storage in CPU. Device/register tags and comments can be stored in CPU module. Tags and comments can be viewed in the on-line mode without access to the original program.   Large Program Memory. Both S2E and S2T have 32k steps of program memory (64k step S2T version is also available). Programs can be created without any consideration for memory constraints. 8k Data registers and 132k File registers can be used for data storage.   Debug Support Functions. Easily force I/O during program execution. Run status latch or sample trace during program execution. Sample trace data can be exported as a *.csv file.

Touchscreens Operator Interface Stations OIS120, OIS60, OIS50 The OIS Touch Panels are used as Operator Interface Stations (OIS) for Toshiba PLCs, Adjustable Speed Drives, and V Series Integrated Controllers. Operators know immediately the status of the connected equipment and they can easily get more detailed information, change operating parameters in the connect equipment or control operation. Key Features   Popup Keypads. Save screen space and can be triggered by pressing any data entry object. They disappear as soon as enter is pressed.   Multiple Language Capability. Create tags and descriptions in any language supported by MS Windows. A utility program allows exporting a tag data base in one language, adding corresponding terms in another language, then importing the new language into the OIS.   Support for Floating Point Data. Double length register tags which support IEEE 32 bit format for floating point data can be mapped to any object, such as a bar graph. Allows OIS to easily work with PID Loop controllers such Toshiba V1000.   Portrait or Landscape Orientation. Maximize space by creating screens in either portrait or landscape mode. Keypads Operator Interface Stations OIS40/40R, OIS20, OIS10/15 OIS20/40/40R allow various text or graphic objects to be placed on the screen and allow the operator to monitor the machine. Keys are used to navigate through screens or to edit data. A tag database defines the PLC bits / registers used for monitoring or controlling. Bits and registers internal to the unit itself can also be used. Screen Tasks can be defined to be executed before showing a screen, while showing a screen, and after hiding a screen. Objects such as plain text objects, data display (coil status, register value, register dependent text), Data entry objects, Alarm objects etc. can be defined on the screen. OIS10/15 are OEM type displays. These OIS do not use any setup software. They depend on special ladder programming in the PLC for display and data entry functions.

Key Features   Keypad overlays are shipped separately with the OIS. The allows user specific overlays to be used on the OIS.   OIS are powered directly from PLC eliminating need for special wiring. OIS40R (Remote) requires separate 24 Vdc power supply. It can be mounted upto 1000 m from PLC.   OIS10/15 are very economical. Ideal for low cost OEM applications.

Protocol Converters Special Automation Items Gateway Modbus, Gateway CAN, Gateway Profibus Gateways are protocol converters that allow any device with a modbus RTU protocol, Diesel CAN J1939 protocol or Profibus master to talk to Toshiba. In some cases Gateway allows the Toshiba PLC to communicate directly with other devices using the other device's native protocol. Gateway setup software is used to map the registers between the other devices/controllers to registers in the Toshiba PLC, ASD, or Loop Controllers. Using a simple spreadsheet format, Gateway can be configured to fetch a specified number registers or bits from one device and transfer them to the other device. Key Features   Gateway Modbus allows Toshiba PLCs to be Modbus master or slave.   Gateway CAN allows Toshiba Controllers to read status of Diesel engines, RPM, Operating Temperature, Hours of Operation, etc.   Gateway Profibus allows Toshiba PLCs, ASDs, and Loop Controllers to be slaves on a Profibus DP network.   All Gateways are setup using the same configuration software.   Power and Transmit LEDs for each port to show operation status.

Eagle I/O Converters Special Automation Items Eagle0800U, Eagle0404U, Eagle0201U The Eagle I/O is universal serial analog I/O. For the analog inputs, the Eagle I/O performs the A to D (analog to digital) conversion and loads a digital value directly into a T1 register. For analog outputs, the Eagle I/O reads a digital value out of a T1 register and performs a D to A (digital to analog conversion). Analog signal types and PLC registers are defined using simple setup software. Key Features   Eagle analog serial I/O can be used in addition to Toshiba parallel I/O   Several different types of thermocouple and RTD inputs are available.   Can also work as a Modbus remote slave   Screw or DIN rail mountable.

Other Converters Special Automation Items Signal Converters The TCNV485-232C is a RS485 to RS232 converter. It is primarily used to go from a computers RS232 port to the RS485 port on a PLC. It can also be used to go from the RS232 port on a PLC to the RS485 port on a higher level controller. The TCNV485-CMOS is a RS485 to CMOS/TTL converter. It is primarily used with ASDs (Adjustable Speed Drives) that do not have an RS485 port but need to be networked to a higher level controller. Key Features   Power and Transmit LEDs for each port to show operation status.   Designed for rugged industrial environments.   Screw or DIN rail mountable.   TCNV485-CMOS has 40 cm cable with RJ45 connector for connection to ASD.
